Jerry asked Grover to tell his story: The Real Story of
Jerry “Boogie” McCain in Jerry’s own words!
Jerry and Grover spent many hours together in preparation
for this book. Sadly, Jerry did not make it to see the book released, but, he
made it clear from his hospital bed that it was his wish that the book be
completed.
Now you have an opportunity to read the real story. It is
not just about music. It is Jerry’s story and talks about Music, Fishing,
Racism, Religion, Hoodoo, Super Natural, Cooking, Humor, Bounty Hunting and
much more.
I think the book is best described by Jerry’s niece “Mary

author of this book. As I turned the pages and began to read, the words became
“alive” and I could hear Jerry speak to me. There are events of sadness, joyous
